Dassault Reaches Milestone with 100th Falcon 7X Delivery

Dassault delivered the 100th Falcon 7X during a ceremony at its completion center in Little Rock, Arkansas. The aircraft was delivered to a Brazilian financial services company.

"We promised to design and build the most technically advanced and best flying aircraft in the industry and we’ve already achieved that 100 times,” said John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon. "During that time, feedback from pilots and passengers alike has been very positive. Pilots said they appreciate, in particular, the digital flight control system which makes the Falcon 7X so responsive and easy to maneuver. The superb cabin environment was praised by passengers for its smooth-flying comfort and quietness.”

To date, the 5,950 nm Falcon 7X fleet has accumulated more than 57,000 flight hours, operating in over 25 countries with orders coming from more than 40 countries. The fleet leader has logged more than 3,000 flight hours since its delivery in mid 2007. "The high usage rate (higher than other Falcon models) demonstrates that the Falcon 7X is a very active part of many flight departments,” said Jacques Chauvet, Senior Vice President of Customer Service. "Its versatility helps account for its popularity – and having gathered over 200 orders”.

The Falcon 7X has received type certification from 16 aviation authorities and is the only long range business jet with FAA approval to use the challenging London City airport .

Bombardier Sells Five Challenger 300 Aircraft to Donghai Jet

Shenzhen-based operator also takes delivery of the first China-based Challenger 605 aircraft
Bombardier Aerospace today confirmed a firm order for five super midsize Challenger 300 jets from Donghai Jet Co., Ltd. based in Southern China. The total value of the order is approximately $121 million US, based on the 2010 list price for typically equipped aircraft.
Upon delivery, the Challenger 300 business jets will join a new Challenger 605 jet, which was handed over during a special ceremony at Donghai Jet’s headquarters in Shenzhen on November 13, 2010. Donghai Jet will soon operate the first Challenger 300 and Challenger 605 jets to be based in China.
“This order is a very important milestone in the growth of our fleet of Learjet, Challenger and Global business jets in Greater China,” said Steve Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “The range and cabin size of the Challenger 300 and Challenger 605 jets are ideally suited for non-stop access throughout the region and are a perfect fit for Donghai Jet’s charter operation. We are honoured that Donghai Jet has put their confidence in our Challenger aircraft family to debut its business jet charter operations in China,” he added.
Donghai Jet Co., Ltd. is headquartered at Shenzhen airport and was jointly established by Shenzhen Donggang Investment Development Ltd, East Pacific Holdings Ltd. and Win Glory Enterprises Ltd., a Sino-foreign joint venture. In addition to charter services, Donghai Jet Co., Ltd. also provides trading consultation, management and maintenance services for business jets.
Present in China for over 50 years, Bombardier is best positioned to offer its customers the required support for their increasing travel requirements. Bombardier Business Aircraft operates sales offices in Beijing and in Hong Kong and has three Authorized Service Facilities in the region. In addition, a Regional Support Office in Hong Kong is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2011.
China is among a number of countries emerging as key markets for business aviation. Globalization, increased travel requirements by business people and a general positive trend towards the acceptance of business aircraft use are among the contributors to increased activity in the region. The Bombardier Business Aircraft Market Forecast, published in July 2010, predicts business aviation industry deliveries of 600 aircraft in China for the 10-year period covering 2010-2019.
Bombardier delivered its first Global 5000 jet for operation in mainland China to Reignwood Group in July 2009. In March 2010, Bombardier announced it had delivered its first Learjet 60 XR jet to a customer based in China along with its first Challenger 850 jet, owned by renowned entertainer Benshan Zhao.
